No new merch tonight - but I have something CUTE for you.

Unexpectedly sidetracked tonight by these little guys!

Apparently some not-so-bright mother rabbit dug her hutch in the dogs’ run, easily accessible. One of the German Shepherds tossed one of the babies around, but it’s still alive…we had to remove them from that hutch, or else the dogs would find a way to get to them, and with the advice of a friend who works for a Northland wildlife rehab center, we dug a new hutch within 10’ of the old one, and used the mother’s litter to cover them.

I got to tend to the babies while he did this. Luckily the scent thing is a myth. These little babies were so warm, and she must have just left as the dogs found the babies, they had full little bellies. One was trying to hop! They must be within days of their eyes opening.

I haven’t heard any crows nearby, so I’m hoping their mom finds them. If not by tomorrow, we’ve got a new situation on our hands!
